It is in th front of the turbo, where the hose from the airbox meets the turbo. Just slide the hose off and there it is.

Its metal, and a snap ring, with no way to grab it, have to use needle nose etc.

Before:

After:

A chewed up ring, but you get the idea.

Get a BHAF filter and listen to her sing.

Get your wallet handy, cause this was the first thing that most do "remove silencer ring" after that its all down hill $$$

Holler if you have more questions. We've all been down that road as far as mods...

Best to move the mod questions to the performance forum though.

So if I pull the silencer ring, and don't booger up the snap ring, can I put it all back if I decide I don't like it?

You sure can but be aware that most of the problems that happen from removing the ring are from people not seating the snap ring fully when reinstalling.
I've heard a few stories of the silencer ring coming loose and chewing up the turbo.
Be careful.

Here's a bulletin from Holset that gets into much detail about the silencer ring> http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ/Inletnew.pdf

I liked the ring out until the first long trip without it.
The whistle about drove me crazy after a few hundred miles.

Hmmm... yeah,... I'm gonna sit that one out then. I'm making about 600 miles this weekend with the family. I don't need any more help with my nerves!
