Yeah,......Welcome Back J.C.!

I would recommend checking to see if the KDP (Killer Dowel Pin) has been taken care of then put in some guages, do some tranny mods and then go with a fuel curve torque plate, some mild injectors and maybe a larger turbo.

Jim, as most everyone that knows me on DTR,.......I am and have been running ATS Transmissions in all my Dodge CTD Pickups since 2000 and have had excellent service out of them. But there are many other companies out there that are good too. Goerend does many for our Members as well as HTS (like you said) along with Suncoast and Garmon to name a few.

Ditto on ATS. I got my ATS Stage IV in 2001, and it's been a great trans. Clint and his crew go far out of their way to take care of anything that comes up.

In about 2002 or so I stopped at ATS on a trip to say Hi. I was just passing through and was going to leave early the next a.m. to continue the trip. Clint was gone somewhere, out of town. It was almost quitting time when I stopped in, and I happened to mention to Mike that my truck was doing something weird in shifting sometimes, but not all the time. I was mostly curious why it was doing it, I didn't really think it was anything they needed to worry about. Mike listened to the symptoms, and asked me for my keys, and even though it was only about 15 min. to quitting time, and rush hour traffic, he took my truck out for a drive. He pulled back in a little after quitting time, and pulled it up on a rack, put it up in the air, had a tech drain the trans and pull the pan, and he pulled the VB. I stayed out of the way. He took it into their clean room, and he and their rebuilder worked on it for a few minutes. He brought it back down to the truck, put the VB back in, the tech slapped the pan back on, filled it with fluid and they turned me loose--no charge. A spring had broken in the VB and Mike had diagnosed it from driving it, and had fixed it after quitting time. THAT'S good service.

Jim,..... thanks for your reply! I was wondering if you remembered me or not. Everything is going well with me Sir! Glad to see you back on here and even more glad to see you back in a 12V Dodge CTD! IMHO, they are still the best Dodge CTD Trucks that were made. My 1996 has over 310,000 miles on it now.
