Hydraulic hose & Temp ratings

I am just about to install my fresh tranny and I want to run hydraulic hose to coolers. What I'd like to know is the temp rating on hose a factor of pressure and temp. Like is a 3000 psi hose rated for 212 deg able to handle 250 deg at 10 psi? Also for those that have done this did you 212 deg hose or the higher ratings. I know I don't want to get the tranny that hot just curious about hose compatability.

Main problem when you get to the extreme temps with hydraulic hose is how it effects flexibility. Since your hoses are in a fixed position, not like on the bucket of an excavator I see no problem.
Most hose I work with is rated for 300F @ 1500 psi.

I wouldn't get 212 personally. For all my oil hoses I always get at least 300 degrees F and 250 psi.

I don't have part numbers, but if you go to a local hydraulic shop, they'll hook you up. What size do you need? Some of that stuff ain't cheap.

No hydraulic shop around here. The places that do have hose only have 212 deg stuff. I'm going to use 1/2 in hose. Found a couple of options on line, R16 has the right temp but lousy bend radius nice and thick covering though, R5 is the other option but is not as thick but better temp rating.

Unfortunately, that's the case most of the time. I was looking for hose for my bypass oil filter so I went to a hydraulic shop and they gave me black 1/4" hose good for 250 psi and 300 F. Later I went to a hose shop for some fittings (much cheaper ) and thought I'd ask for the hose just to see if they had it. All they had was 180 degree hose and they were skeptical when I told them the hydraulic shop down the street sold me some black hose that was rated for 300 F. Kinda weird. But I don't doubt what the hydraulic shop sold me. They're well-known in town and even offered me a soda when I was there!

Have you checked out steel braided hoses? Those should last for a while.

Try McMaster Carr , I went with the Hydaulic hose route , I bought the screw together fitings and i feel I went a little over kill on the hoses .
They were rated for 7000 psi but the hose temps were rated 300 degrees .
It was the wire re-enforced hydo hose , as I think about it now the over kill gives me peace of mind about kinking .
The screw togther was really cool and I have done 2 or 3 trucks like that with no problems .

I looked at McMaster Carr and they have hose that will work just a little high. 7000 psi hose must be pretty stiff stuff, maybe I shouldn't be so concerned with the bend radius in the listings. I like the idea of thick hose, peace of mind is what I'm looking for too. BTW Greg that black fender was real nice,Thanks.
