Mine is fairly new
and today after haulin almost 20K with it, well i can say that it works great But my flywheel is not gonna like me
Anyways speakin on a stock clutch, my stocker would grab just fine, but id let it out smoothly and minimize slippage.
My new clutch (see sig) seems to grab much the same way, except this one dont slip period, and if it does, i do fear it diggin a trench in my flywheel...
I have seen many people let out clutches by just jerking them out, With my valair i almost have to with a heavy load (as i did today) cause it will chatter regardless if u play with the throttle, then it will grab on like no ones business...
With a stock clutch or one that isnt brass button or ceramic, just be smooth with it, even my valair when empty or loaded under 15K it works wonders and shifts smoothly now that its broken in..

My stocker is smooth, as long as I am smooth with the pedal. I am to scared to slip it much, as I am about at it's limits, and don't have the funds for a new one right now...
Glad yours is breaking in nicely Rick.

Mine egages smooth if I'm smooth. I've only had my truck for 3 weeks now so I'm still a little rusty.
A side question on the the tranny topic, my trans or clutch rattles at anything under 1200rpm.....what's the noise comming for and what damage does it do?
Cheers
