How much for a clutch?

How much for a clutch?
I'm facing the possibility of a new throwout bearing (and I would assume a new clutch as well, right?) with my '96 2wd. I have posted my very bad sound question on the "help" section and this is what has turned up. It seems right, since the clutch is also more grabby than before.
For those who have had this done, what amount is it usually to do this sort of job. I have not the tools or the space to do this work, it'll go to a truck repair shop or back to a dealer. Just wondering what to expect $$$. Also if anyone has had good experances with a shop in the western suburbs of Chicago (Wheaton area) please let me know that. Thanks!

the last three that I have done were $1000.00 that includes all the parts and a resurfaced flywheel and a shim if needed just about any kind of clutch material that you want from stock to very agressive material that will hold up to 475 RWP... And the good thing is that it gets done while you are Wal-Mart shopping...drive it in drive it home same day service..Rolla Missouri

Had mine changed a couple of months ago. New "gold" clutch, can't remember manufacturer, but their best, turning flywheel, new rear main, plus towing - out the dorr for around $750. Had a lot of good recommendations for the shop from the locals I work with. Happy with it so far. About $500 less than I was figuring on.
