How many miles are you getting on your Automatic??

Mine was done at 155000 by previous owner. He put in upgraded tc.Been going strong, trucks at 270000 now.Blew the cooling lines twice and tranny is still smoothe.they say that the stock tc is the culprit (obviously)

149K on mine, not to happy on towing heavy loads from a dead stop at the bottom of a long grade. guess it's just me, no lockup in 2nd so I can't get it above 30mph until i crest the hill.

155,000 and the converter is just now starting to shudder. Hava a #10 plate just behind stock location, afc cover slid forward a little, starwheel adjusted, 3k gov. springs, tow 7000lbs about 8-10 times a year. I would completely flush trans every spring with new fluid. About 55,000 miles with the above mods listed. New HTS trans going in next weekend. KD

i have 267000 on mine right now the TC is slipping badly but the tranny still shifts pretty well except for when its cold, just ordered of for a performance tranny and TC today hopefully that will make a world of difference

Mine worked great for around 200K, then I went for a complete DTT "master upgrade" (new/more clutches, seals, tc, vb, etc.) installed by Chip's Trans. in TN. I knew that I'd want to do this eventually to withstand the bombs, so the upgrade was done without having to endure a catastrophe and clean out a bunch of junk. Also, the 95's have an aluminum planetary carrier. 96 and later updated this piece to steel; that's also part of the trans upgrades for 95's (and probably 94's too). This was much cheaper than a full trans swap, and the results are the same. Bottom line on ALL trannies: keep the fluid clean, keep the fluid cool.

I got a buddy that has kept his truck stock and he has 230,000 out of his auto tranny. Only thing that has been adjusted in the bands once. I doubt it will last to much longer cause a set of 370's is is going in.

187k and going strong all stock up to 178k then added a good converter and shift kit. with motor mods. #1 thing do not over heat your automatic. when my transmission was stock I had to baby it. I am sure you can kill an auto very quickly if you dont drive it right.

We have 168+ miles right now on our auto. Still shifting good, smooth, etc. Used to pull a 24ft stock trailer too for a few years. So it's probably a matter of time before it goes
