While I was in the ER for ten days I had my GF try starting the truck to run it for awhile. She said the starter just clicks or there is no noise at all. I finnaly got home and tapped the starter with a hammer and it started right up.
I installed Larry B's Super Size solenoid contacts and plunger about 2 years ago so is this how long they last for

Check and cleaned battery terminals etc every thing seems okay?

 

It all depends on how often you start the truck.
I've had Larry's contacts for about 175k (8 years) on both trucks. Stockers were replaced at about 60k before they failed but it didn't look like one side on both starters had long to go.

Also check that the problem isn't your tranny starter safety switch.
My shifter got out of adjustment and I had to pull down into drive then slam it back up into park to get it to crank until I fixed it.
Clicking noise during this period was the shutdown solenoid.
