how do you drain water from prime loc?
My truck came with the prime loc on it. Is there a way to check for water or a place to drain it? There is an allen bolt where the stock fuel filter was. Or would it settle into the bottom of the filter? My water in fuel light is not on, but I have never once drained water. maybe there is some in there somewhere I can get out

On the 97' model, you are suppose to use a 94-96 filter, fleetguard model number FS1253. It has a hole in the bottom where the water sensor goes. I suspect the former owner didn't run the right filter, or didn't like the hassle everytime it was due for a filter change. You can go to geno's garage and get the right filter and the sensor, 3831852-s. There should be a lose wiring hasness on your truck for the new sensor to plug into. Right now you would not know if you had water in your fuel or not, it is not hooked up. The end you need should be on the left side of the engine, back by the firewall. Good luck and hope this helps.
