Unhappy Hopefully nothing got damaged

I have a slid stock plate and starwheel and a blocked wastegate. I let my friend borrow my truck to tow a car of his about 400 miles. When he got back, i noticed the top of the stacks was blued, kinda like headers get. I know i know, i don't have gauges and need them. It was fine before, could the load of towing have damaged anything. I 'm thinking it got quite hot to have blued the tips.

Its gonna be hard to tell. With just the stock plate slid, I don't know if you would have enough fuel to get into extreme temperatures.. Unfortunately I never towed with the stock plate slid before I installed the 10..

With the high flow of the stacks I don't know if you could get that hot..

Time for gauges...

Good question on the stacks bluing. Mine started doing that around the tip of the stacks too after I put them on. Never saw EGTs over 900* (pre-turbo). A bit odd.

Yep, I'm sure you're fine. My stacks get some blue on them all the time. Take a little chrome polish and it comes right off. I wouldn't worry... everybody hates harpers, but ya gotta get gauges! Besides, it's lotsa fun watching it

if your prone to freaking when it comes back, don't loan it out. nobody is going to take care of, or understand how it can be damaged better than the owner. hope the pistons don't look like the stacks. luck
