Hi, I asked about a week ago about my 96 dodge and how it sputters and blows white smoke when I smash the throttle. I tried every suggestion, timing was perfect, re-adjusted the shut down soleniod so its good, and put a new overflow valve in. The overflow valve helped alot. It seems like it only sputters after about 2000rpm instead of 1300 before. So im glad to see some improovement but does anyone have anyother ideas? Sticky plunger maybe?Thanks! Is it doing this under a load or only in neutral/clutch in/free revving?

I ask because I thought it was a normal thing with no load. Mine does it when cold and no load, but gets better when hot. With a load/in drive it doesn't do it.

What is your fuel pressure like with the AirDog unit? Idle and load?

 

It does it with no load just sitting in nuetral. My brother has the same year truck as me and his doesnt do it. It does it wen its hot or cold. I dont have a fuel pressure gauge, maybe I should get one.

Not sure on your Airdog but most electric pumps put out way too low fuel pressure for a 12 valve.
