help with tc lock up switch

okay so i did the relay wire up so the tc would free if i hit the brake, but with the switch on or off or centered it locks my truck in 2nd or 3rd and wont use the tc. i had to pull the wire going to pin 11 and disconnect it and restart my truck to get all gears back and tc. i did notice in the write up relay pins 86 and 85 are in a dif place. starting with pin 87 and going right is as follows on the relay 87,87a,85,30,86. now the write up shows 87,87a,86,30,85. has anyone had this problem?

Unfortunately for you '96 is the only year that requires a dealer computer reflash in order for the lockup switch to work. Think it costs about $50.

The reflash just changes the programing for the pcm as it relates to the tranny. From what I understand the only thing you will notice different is that a lockup switch will work.
