Exclamation help no start

hey everyone having a littl problem here went to start my truck the other day and it wouldnt start, so i figured it was the ignition switch because everything came on in the truck but no crank, replaced the switch and still nothing. i can jump the starter with a wire to the battery and start the truck just fine no problems and the key will turn it off. dont really know where to go next im stumped. any help would be great thanks.

Couple things.. Most likely the contacts in the starter solenoid are worn causing the intermittant starts. A simple repair of these contacts and it should be good as new. I did mine about 4 years ago.

Foster Truck - Larry B's contacts.

Re-check your wires to the starter if it was replaced. The brown wire may have come loose.

And depending on the starter, rebuild or OEM may still have issues.

Not sure if your truck is an auto or manual transmission, but the neutral safety or clutch interlock switch could be preventing the starter relay from operating. Also, follow your starter cable up toward the battery. There is a smaller wire taped alongside the starter cable from the starter to where it terminates in a plastic connector. Have a look in that connector and make sure all is ok.
