It's hard to say without seeing the truck. Where would you expect to be after spending 6k? Is that including quality body work? I only ask because 6k for a rusty/bondo-filled 2nd gen is just too much. I shudder to think what's in my truck, cash wise, and it's still an ugly SOB. However, I only gave 3800 for it and have only 'had' to put a clutch in it. It has been an otherwise very reliable daily driver, so well worth the money, to me. It's all about being realistic about your goals and what you're working with. Not an easy skill to hone, for anyone Now if you could pick it up cheap and put the engine/trans in your 1st gen and part the rest, well now you're talking! Money ahead and a p-pumped 1st gen
