I had a Line-X spray-in liner installed today and on the way home I stopped and got my truck weighed-6880 lbs.Wow! I didn`t realize these trucks were that heavy.This rascal weighs 2520 lbs more than my Dakota.[4360 with a full tank of gas]

 

Mine weighs in at just over 7300, and it's only 2WD!

 

I was at 64 to 65ish before I put the service body on. After the service body, ladder rack, and extremely heavy bumper, the truck weighed 7650 empty. With ladders, tools, and materials, the truck weighs 8500. I'm another 150. On days where I have a lot of wire in the back, I'm well over my GVWR of 8800 pounds.

 

My truck weighed 7k flat, when I bought it. Only accessory was a bug guard on the hood. Was up to 7920 for a while. Back down to 7250.

 

Funny I should see this now-I just weighed my 2wd 98 quadcab dually today. It has an electric water heater in the back (going to install tomorrow at a house), a 400 big block chrysler longblock and 727 transmission, and a 5500 watt generator in the back. Without me in it, it weighed 8060 lbs. This is at about 1/4 tank of fuel.

 

My truck weighs ~8K without me in it. It's also going to gain weight this weekend by getting rid of an NV4500, and swapping in an NV5600/NV241HD combo. That should put me at ~83-8400 with me in it, and still 2wd!

Thank God for airbags...I had a 3500 lb tractor on the bed, pulling a 1000 bushel grain cart that has about that much tongue weight yesterday. First time my truck has squatted since I added the bags

that is the reason for 97 ctd in my 82. 4463 lbs. with me in it. 0 to 60 5.3 secs.

 

My 98.5 3500 weighs 7700 lbs empty and my 94 2500 weighs 6680 lbs empty.
