Head gasket, last of my questions (sorry)
Ok, I pull the injectors. If I take my time to pull the head is it all self explanatory what comes off to pull it? I am used to working on my truck, but head gasket is new territory for me. do yall think Ill be ok with it? I have 2 people 2 help lift it with me. to guess id say, exhaust manifold and turbo assembly, intake manifold, return line will have to come off. then when I get it back together Ill have to go get the valves adjusted? And do I loosen the bolts then tighten when I start the re-torque process? Also, can I learn to adjust the valves myself? And I am taking to make sure its not warped or cracked to badly while off. Any help no matter what it is would be very helpful.

Just take the turbo loose from the ex man and leave the ex man on the head to have something to get hold of when removeing the head and yes you can learn to adj. the valves. Remove the rocker arms and the pushrods (in the under side of the over hang over the last 2 cyls is two rubber plugs remove them with a pair of small pliers) to get the long head bolts and pushrods out. Mark the rocker stands so they go back on where they came off also keep the pushrods so they go back in where they came from as every thing is worn togeather. If you need anymore info PM me or send me an e-mail dieseldemon@starband.net
