Head bolt removal sequence

What sequence does Cummins recommend for removing head bolts? Just the opposite of installation?

No sequence required, just yank them however is easiest for you.

To expand, are there engines that do need a special removal sequence such as with aluminum heads?

Another question.. Once I get the head off, can I crank the block without any concern? Like throwing off "cam/valve timing" or anything else I'm not aware of?

I believe VAG recommends going it in reverse order of installation, and only a 1/2 turn to start and then remove them all the way if I remember correctly. This would be a motor with an Aluminum head.

Spin it as you like, although I wouldn't use the starter.
