My uncles 97, and my cousins 96 were doing the same thing. Put new relays on both of them, and they have worked fine ever since. It seems the solenoid usually doesent go bad. Its usually the relay.

I got a new Relay for like $53.00 Canadian (it was $51.00 at the US dealer) and saved some exchange money, the truck starts everytime now, thanks for your help guys

Pull the solenoid and look at the rubber boot thats around the shaft. They come apart and can keep it from full travel. Just a heads up before you spend bucks on a new unit. This boot can be replaced easily.
