I am going to look at a 97 CTD Extra Cab 2500 4X4 5 speed. I have mainly been looking at 2001-2002 trucks but this one looks pretty nice but I am not familiar with the 12 Valve engines, though I do know that there is quite a following for them and the injector pumps seem to be better. Anyway, the truck has 115,000 miles on it, what all should I watch out for and check out on these trucks such as common mechanical issues, rust issues etc. The truck is pretty loaded and supposedly un-modified and still owned by the original owner who is retired.
