like timmy22 said, most places add treatment to the fuel at the station to prevent gelling. The last time I put fuel in my truck was november and we have had a warm couple of months so the additive was not added. This is why I am only having the problem now. I haven't had any other problem in the past winters.

So if I understand correctly - the fuel from the station "should" be OK but adding an additive is just good, inexpensive insurance in case the fuel is not treated properly at the pump.

they really should add it in the north. fuel gells, it's a known fact and it's a PIA to mix the stuff.

but like infidel says I would not trust them. unless you need the extra exercise from a good long walk in the cold.
