Gas NV4500 same as Diesel?
Well like the question says, are the NV4500's from the gas engine trucks the same as the Diesel truck versions? Moreso, are they interchangeable? Mine seized due to leaking oil somewhere, without leaving a puddle...
Anyone looking to sell one? I have a core if you want it.

No, they aren't the same, if you are talking about the 5.2/5.9 gas engines. I believe the V-10 is the same as the diesel though (not sure about the V-10 input shaft though). The gas version (V-8) uses a different input shaft (swappable), different internal shafts (lighter duty), and different output shaft size/spline. V-8s use 23 spline, diesels use 29 spline.
I went through this while researching a tranny for my 4bt Cummins powered Durango. I ended up using a V-8 version so it would mate up to the Durango t-case, and swapped a Cummins input shaft so I could use a Dodge Cummins flywheel & clutch.
