Fuel Pressure under load
#16
Hi Guy's
OK still having what I believe /read is a problem, I read that I should be seeing 18PSI at 800 RPM and around 28 at 2000 RPM, and that the pressure should never drop to around 5 PSI... As I said I tow 10k and have see this problem all the time I have owned the truck. I have replaced, fuel filter, Cleaned the pre filter, replaced the overflow valve for a Ebay wonder !!! which was later replaced again with a OEM valve as the Ebay valve was a POS, I have also replaced the lift pump and replaced the fuel line and replaces the fuel line in the tank, Which now leads me to believe that there is nothing wrong with my truck and that I will have to live with the low fuel pressure when climbing up hills whilst towing. or would a electric fuel pump solve this issue, as you know low pressure = low power ?
And what is different to my truck to everyone else’s ? I am perplexed !?!?!?

Hi Infidel, Yes its a electric gauge, the second one I have tried, and no the truck does not splutter, however it looses power when the pressure is low. I am thinking about fitting a non electric gauge tho, as I do not like the electric sender units, have had issues with them in the past, but started to believe the electric gauge as this one reads the same as the last one. But want is not made in China these days ? What happen to "Made In America"
