Fuel leak

I am leaking fuel at the tank....looks like the push lock connector for the return line is buggered....the blue piece in the connector is broken.

I am going to NAPA tonite.....I believe the return line is 5/16 hose?? about 12 feet do it??

Is there such a thing as rebuild parts for the quick connect?? its just not hooking up because, I think the plastic clip is buggered.

25 degrees and snow on the ground.....looking forward to this. not.

Don't know about a rebuild kit, Infidel says you can use a regular hose clamp though.

Make sure it isn't really the steel tubes going into the module, that is the usual culprit.

As said, just pull the quick connect off the module and use a hose clamp with the new hose.
If your module is the old type with steel lines make sure they aren't rusted out.

is there a pic of this? I dont understand how to pull the quick disconnect off. I have not done this yet, so have not experienced this part. Is it really just pull? or is there something else to it. Thanks, ken

I just mangle the quick connects off with a pair of pliers by smashing them.

This picture is of the newer style with plastic tubes.

This picture is with a Draw Straw kit from Vulcan Performance used when the tubes are rusted out

Well, got the parts , 10' of diesel rated hose, clamps etc.

Plan is to cut the rubber hose going to the sending unit, splice in about 6" of new hose and put a clamp on the stem. I had to put a new sending unit in Christmas a year ago because the steel stem had rusted out....thats probably how I mangled the connector...man you talk about a night mare, dropping the tank in the driveway, in the dark, 35 degrees and raining, half assed tools,in Christmas eve, oh I was 300 miles from home.

Got to do a quick fix, and when the weather breaks I will run rubber on both lines.
