The recommended element change interval is 10K miles. I went with the FS-2500 because it is built solidly, i.e. designed to be mounted on the frame. I figured it could take a hit from a road hazard better than an exposed spin-on filter. The high change interval on the Amsoil makes me doubt it is really a 2 mic.
