Gettin ready to change the front crank seal and sleeve it but my seal did not come with the plastic sleeve to protect the seal upon installation. Anyone have an option to it?

I don't think the aftermarket seals come with the protector, so it can be done. I just think Cummins does it to make it foolproof.

 

Hell Pat, I'm always careful but the speedy sleeve changes the parameters a little. That extra steel on the crank makes it more "interesting". Read somewhere somebody used a solo cup or something like it as an option but I cant find it anymore.

 

I'd get a plastic installer, I've used many seal types and they all come with them?? Maybe they miss boxed it?
