Flywheel inspection cover

My 98 12v has no cover on there , I can see the flywheel plain as day and the dealer says he cant find a part # for one . Do you guys have a cover on your trucks with a 5 speed he says they didn't come with one , which I find hard to believe . Also get this I need a backing plate plug and a battery hold down bolt , $8.00 for the plug and 25.00 for the hold down bolt . Pure rape.

there is suppose to be a indented gap at the bottom of the bellhousing where it connects to the engine adapter. I wondered about that to, but thats how it's suppose to be. I don't know why, because i'd think the bellhousing should be mostly sealed to keep the clutch clean.

It keeps debris from the clutch from accumulating inside the bellhousing and to keep dummies like me out of 6 ft deep water

Wow , that is a big intended gap there , all the road dust and mud that could get in there , I'll have to look under my 02 to see if its the same. Very strange.

Most any farm or construction equipment with a dry clutch has a hole big enough to put your hand up in.
