FIXED!!! heck yea

So i posted about a week ago, no power, tons of white smoke at about 2500RMP underload. Changed the air filter, which looks like original one. Didn't help. Changed the fuel filter, wouldnt start. So i got on here, bled the system, starts right up and now spools and fuels to 3100 with no smoke and peppy as hell....so nice

thanks to everyone

awful!! i mean awful....Black, slimey, oily, and just filthy. When i drained the fluid first the fuel came out black!!!!! And now it's like night and day. It accelerates faster, fuels to 3100 when before only 2700 max. It's running so much better. and i couldnt be happier.

Have you been putting any old black stuff in the tank to try burning and pluged the fuel filter or hasnt it been changed for a few years??

Check the pre-filter screen. My truck was neglected when I bought it and had a filter in the same condition as yours. I replaced my pre-filter screen (located before the filter and with the fuel heater). The screen ad what looked like wax built up in it. Ran a lot better after I changed it.

Yes, if your filter was that dirty you should clean the pre-filter too.

No just neglect. I will have to get into the prescreen too, just to check it out. Have to locate it first....

Down by the lift pump you will see the fuel heater, it's a small canister looking thing that has an electrical plug on it, the screen is in that. Many people ,including myself, have done away with the heater(do a search) it will cause you trouble later.
