94 auto 4x4. At idle, about 900 rpm truck has a lope to it. Kinda like a gasser with a big cam. As i apply a little throttle it gets worse and worse up to about 1200 rpm then it smooths out. At 1150 it feels like its running on 3or4 cylinders it shakes so much. I dont know enough about diesels to even know where to begin, any help would be much appreciated.

 

Is there smoke? and what color is it? How does it start? Does it do it when cold or hot? Have you changed your fuel filter lately? and cleaned the water seperator screen? You could have air getting into your system, late inj timing, bad injectors, Valve lash, low comp. A little more detail will be helpfull in sorting out your problem.

 

no smoke out of the ordinary, its black.starts fine and does it when its hot and cold. I havn't changed fuel filter lately and I dont know where or what water seperator screen is.sorry about the lack of info.
