Fan Clutch

My 1995 cummins (practically stock, with an AFE cold air intake and the fuel plate moved forward) is starting to warm a little (210 or so) at stop lights and the AC goes warm. As soon as I take off it cools a little and the AC works. I'm thinking it is the Fan Clutch. I have a couple questions for you experts:

1. What's the best way to check if it is in fact the fan clutch?
2. Are there any directions you could send me regarding the fan clutch replacement? I have done one on an old Jeep and it was 4 bolts....
3. Best place to purchase one, how much should I expect to pay?

Thanks,

Eric

you should be able to hear it engage if its warm out. sometime you can check be hand with the engine off. after you turn your truck of see if you can move the fan by hand. i cant remember the price of one i changed mine two years ago. its 4 bolts for the fan and the big nut for the fan dont know the size i have a homemade gadget ,left handed threads.

Did you have to remove the pulley? When you say hear it engage, are you talking about an intermittant clicking?

Sounds good, thanks for your help. I would have never guessed the left hand threads on the fan nut.
