Engine Speed Sensor?

Just finished putting the 'KDP' out to pasture via a tab, was sticking out only about 1/32nd and was VERY tight when I tried to hammer it in some, didn't seem as though it would be coming out. Oh well, at least I can sleep well now.

Question:
I checked my engine speed sensor before removal w/ a feeler gauge. It was .009
Is this correct?
I thought I read elsewhere that the gap between the sensor and the harmonic balancer was between .049-.051
