Me again, well found out why my truck didnt want to start, it 's the SD solenoid. I removed the relay harness and bypassed it to test the solenoid and it pulls in . So I was thinking the relay was gone till I looked at the fuse panel inside the truck and noticed the 10 a fuse #9 labelled engine was blown. So i replaced it and the truck started right away, ran for about 10 seconds than fuse blew and truck stalled. Tried another and same thing. Don't know where to go from here........ Anybody here have had same problem ?

 

Well did some more troubleshooting and when I disconnect the harness to the SD solenoid the fuse will not blow when I turn the key. I removed the solenoid and if apply 12 v to the centre white wire the plunger goes in and the solenoid gets hot and if I apply the 12 v to the outside red terminal she starts to smoke. Am I looking at a new solenoid ?

 

A smoking soleniod is never good If it wasn't bad before, I bet it is now. I would replace it and see if it does the trick.
