Question EGT - what is the cut-off point??

I have the EGT gauge mounted on the door post with the boost gauge, and I noticed that there is not a Red line or Danger mark...what would be the the maximum temp to reach before pulling the shoe off the pedal???

For towing purposes 1200 degrees (assuming the probe is in the manifold).

For quick blasts while "playing", 1400 is not too scary. Just try to let it cool gradually instead of jumping right out of it, and don't be surprised if the manifold cracks in a few years.
