do early 97's have computer chips to change?
My 97 was manufactured in like jan or feb. I heard that early 97's didn't have much computer stuff? Any one know anything about this?<br>

The 12 valve cummins has no computers on the moter, it is mechanical, if u tie the shut off solinoid up it will run with out any voltage until it runs out of fuel. The truck itself has a computer but it dosent control anything with the engine itself.
