delo 400 sae 30
Is Delo 400 30 ok to use in my 12 valve or should I use only 15/40.
This is not the cj4 le.

I didn't know there was anything but 15/40. Why would you not run multigrade? That is all we run in the trucks (semi) at work, and they run 48 states and Canada with no oil problems at all.

i used to use it all summer then i retired to a colder climate,now i use 15/40..........when i was working oil was free .....delo 400 30 w

Cummins says to run straight 30w in 12 valves used in tropical climates.
Unless you live in south Florida or Hawaii I'd stick with 15w40.

Thanks guys, I took it back exchanged for Rotella 15/40 ci plus4. All the 15/40 Delo around here is LE only thats why I was asking about the 30w.

I'm a believer in Delo, but I don't think you will go wrong with Rotella, either. Just don't 'cheap' out on oil.
