Dana 80 ring geara and pinion gears in a dana 70
what do i have to do to the 70 carrier to make them fit. i was told that they are the same. the only difference is the ring gear bolts are bigger in diameter...
am i wrong or am i wrong, hahaha

I don't think the standard Dana 70 carriers will work in the Dana 80 housing. IIRC, you need the Dana 70 HD carrier and have to machine something to get the two to mesh properly.

Google and call Reiderracing. They do and sell a bunch of differentials, they could help you. I know a 70 diff will fit a 80, it just needs to be drilled out. I am not sure about the ring and pinion.
