well almost got the other one out of the truck should have it out tomorrow. all that's left it to pull the trans and t-case. I even got the motor mounts loose. Then clean, paint, and swap a few brackets, accessory's, fly wheel housing, and fly wheel and it will be ready to run.

got motor out tonight. the old one sure was dirty after 325K+. Now to put lots of degreaser on the engine and truck and clean every thing with a pressure washer it will look like a new one under the hood and under the truck with it all clean. I did a full rebuild on the trans 25K ago when I put the SB Con FE in it. Should be a good truck for whoever buys it and not a money pit like it was for me fixing EVERYTHING on the truck. when you average just over 1000 miles a week like I do you find worn parts quick. I will spend less money making payments on my 08 than I did on the 96 and it was paid for. Will get pics of the gutted truck in a day or two. Hope to run the new engine on the stand in a few days after I swap the oil pan, injectors, exhaust manifold, turbo , flywheel housing, flywheel, starter, and give it a little #2.

next time you paint try clear coating with plasticote t-5. It will last forever and resist scrathing. I use it with the 98 cent wal-mart paint. Makes it look like powder coat or industrial imron but really cheap. Try it on the engine you are going to keep.

Its not really for show anyway but it looks better than all black and I didn't want it to look like it could be a "Krylon Overhaul"

No mistaking that here.

The old one looks like crap but it and the truck will get a good bath with some good degreaser. Under side of the truck too.

Tell her thank you for me. Every time I use this red it looks pink in the pics. I think when I build my own I will most likely use HOT PINK just to mess with people.

that looks good mine is red like that but it looks funny in the pics. When I rebuild the one that I pulled out it will go in my 92. It will have studded every thing, girtle, oringed head, cam, Ported and polished head, 120lb valve springs, with stock intake maniflod milled off and custom intake manifold, billet push rods, ballanced bottom end fluidamper, and 5k kit, twins, 3 pice exhaust manifold, lost of pump work. I will have to save a year or two wut it will be worth it.
