Cummins 4BT, NV4500 tailhousing support part
I've mounted an NV4500 4x4(circa 1995) to a Cummins 4BT. This is going into a 1985 1/2 Ton Dodge Ram 4x4 Prospector shortbed.
I need to buy or find the spacer that mounts under the tailhousing of the NV4500. It looks to need a 4" bolt spacing with two 7/16" bolts screwing up into the tailhousing. The spacer would aparently mount on another plate with two rubber mounts at either end of the plate. My guess is that this spacer needs to be about 3" tall.
Can someone describe what this spacer looks like, where I can get one?
The Dodge dealership parts department would not think outside their little box they live in and could not help me figure this out.

I think what you're talking about is the extention housing.

Scroll about halfway down where it says "our latest upgrade is here"
This is their cast iron version, factory is aluminum.

NV4500 support/ spacer
LiL' Mule,
I'm looking for the spacer that supports the rear end of the extension housing. There are two holes spaced 4" apart that attach to some sort of spacer that must be about 4.5" tall. In the photo you point to, the holes would be on the upper right corner on the extension shown. The two holes cannot be seen in this view.
I suppose I can machine one out of aluminum. Would like to save some time though and just buy one somwhere.

why didnt they make a cast housing when i had my 92 250 with NV4500 in it. I got tired of replacing it, and having to buy $100 oil each time? fixed the 4th time and trade it for current ride, **** i miss that truck.
