If you have a wheel seal go out, and a little 90 weight gets on the pads or shoes, that will make them grab hard. Other than that, maybe they need adjusted if you have drums on the rear.

If the calipers get wet, they tend to build up a little junk and stick in the morning, then suddenly move, and lock up the wheel. After they get a little warm they will free up some. My 91 would lock the front right wheel almost every morning, until i rebuilt the caliper. As just posted before do they stop being "touchy" after some driving?

Very common especially after they get wet. I usually ride the brakes for a block to clean them up and then no problems.

All you need for them to grab like that is a little moisture in the air, they don't technically have to get wet, wet. All it takes is a little moisture on them.

Hope that helps.

Maybe you've already tried this, but make a few hard stops while backing up.

Replace the calipers-that'll almost certainly fix it.

I just finished dealing with a grabbing issue on my rig.Hit the brakes hard and the nose would dive to the left . New rotors this summer, new pads last month, new calipers this spring, wht the heck . Put on a new set of calipers and the right side flex hose, got the worng one for the left side,Some improvement. Bled out the whole system little better adjusted rears as well. Put the left side flex hose on the following nite and rebled the fronts again,BINGO no more pulling/grabbing and the truck stops better than it has for the last four years.I had heard a few people mention about flex lines getting old and ballooning.
