couple of questions about ball joint repair procedure
I removed the ball joints this afternoon and I'm waiting for the new ones to arrive in the mail. I have a couple of question in the meantime.
First, there is a collar with a hex head in the upper hole on each end of the axle. For now, I have left them alone. Do they need to be adjusted or replaced?

Second, there was a spacer in between the right wheel and hub, but not one on the left. Would there be a good reason for this? Should I find another spacer or just ditch the one on the right? I'm running stock wheels now, but it had 17" wheels running 297/70's when I bought it.

Do you guys recommend applying anti-seize to the tapered portion and/or pressed end of the ball joint for easy removal?

Thanks for the help.
