i have not been ablee to get the poor old truck too hot iguess the hottest that i have had it is around 1350 on the pyro and that took a long time to get there and i was coming back from dallas last week pulling a 1845c case bobcat. i have already put the injectors in and the plate is in the glove box i am just wanting to do the rest asap but i wanted to know what kind of power it was going to make before i bought the springs and the housing i would also like to know how much torque it will make hey thanks for all the help that i can get...

With a #10 plate and 370's, I could bury my EGT gauge at well over 1600*. That was with no load and it would be there before I shifted out of 3rd.

I second Gitch.... with a 10 plate, 191's, and stock injectors, I can get it really hot by the time I hit 6th.. I could not imagine what it would be like with 370's.... Hmm, that's an idea! let's see! :

-Chris-

ok guys the thermocouple is in the turbo housing after the turbo and yes i know that it should be before the turbo but the guy that did it said he was not going to put it before the tubo because big rigs are not and he was not going to be responsible for it when it burned off and went through the turbo.but i am in the process of changing it this weekend with the 18cm and putting it in the exhaust manifold where it belongs oh this thing also pegs my 50psi boost gauge and that is the second one the first one broke!!!both gauges are isspro

Re:Could someone tell me how much power this combo makes
You should be around 375-400HP ..... 1350 post turbo will yield you around 1550-1650 .... and that's WAY TOO HOT for sustained running .... esp if you are towing ... you are asking for melt down running that way!!! Also ... the 18 cm3 housing should get you a little cooler ... not much .. but at the expense of spool-up .... are you running an HX35? If I were you I would put a 16 cm3 housing on in place of the 18 cm3 .... or just bit the bullet and put an HX40 on .... any bigger than that will render your truck nearly useless for towing ....

Re:Could someone tell me how much power this combo makes
No idea on the power you would be making. I don't know what power I am making but I can pin my pyro very easily and I just put on my PDR HX 40. 1500 + pre turbo.

He better, if he is talking like that. With HP mods over 350-400HP the thermocouple MUST be pre-turbo. EGT's can go from 800* to 1800* in less than 2-3 seconds with a small turbo, and lots of fuel.

If your thermocouple melts, and goes into your turbo,, that's going to be one of the last things you are going to worry about. TOO HOT! IF youre trying to get cooler EGTs, more horse, and stay towable go with a B1 Kwikspool ;D. Also go with a Scotty II to cool things down.
... approximate horsepower.... maybe 400-420
Wheels

Did anybody else notice this? How do you have no fuel plate all the way forward?
