coolant temp guage
Well i got my truck started last night after a complete overhaul including lots of goodies and the coolant temp guage didnt rise at all after i broke the cam in, 1800 rpms for 10 mins, also didnt move after the truck set and idled for 10 more mins or so. The check guages light keeps kickin on but oil pressure is good and when it dings and kicks on the pyro will peg and then fall back down to normal. Any body got a clue?

Yea, sounds like wiring to me. If your pyro spikes when the light comes on it sounds like you have a short somewhere. Grab a DMM and see if the they have continuity...or get your sending unit and gauge checked to make sure you don't have a short there somewhere.

Thanks
Thanks a bunch! It was acting up before but i was more focused on building the motor than the little things. Ill see if i can get the code tomorrow. Also does the light come on when theres to low voltage? Regardless the temp guage wont move after the trucks ran for 20 mins or so and Ive filled the reservoir with additive and it hasnt circulated after being ran a few times.
