I have a 94 4x4 auto and the lock up torque converter goes in and out all the time . Is there an adjustment cable for that and where should it be

 

You need to replace the tps,throttle position sensor , That will fix the problem

 

Probably the problem. Run a search on the TPS problems and you'll find it is a common problem and can be fixed to satisfaction.

Another potential problem is the brake light switch on the pedal under the dash.. As it wears, it will trigger the TC to unlock going over bumps etc. Simple test for that is to pull back on the brake pedal with your foot when it starts to do its lock-unlock stuff and see if it quits.
