Well I pulled the auto today and if my parts come in tomorrow I will have it all together besides the drive shaft by tomorrow night. Best thing is I'm making money off putting my 5 speed in.

Ok well after doing some more research I have found my ECM will need to be reprogramed and i have to change the PCM for an 01 manual PCM. I can send it out or buy a Smarty to program the ECM.

Did my swap this weekend and everything came off without a hitch. The only advice I would give anyone wanting to try this in the future is if you have a 4" downpipe go ahead and remove it before trying to put the tranny in. When you have it on the jack and almost in place is not the time to remove the exaust. Other than that everything went just fine.

Anyone know what driveshaft changes need to be made on a 95 3500 4x4?
I'm swapping in a NV4500 and would love to get my shafts ready to go up in whenever I get the tranny in

you can't be sure. The smartest thing is to wait and just measure them when everything is in and ready. The 5spd is alittle less than 6" shorter than the auto, so most likely u'll be shortening the front driveshaft 5-5/8", and lengthening the rear the same. Atleast thats what mine was, so don't go by those until u get ur's measured.

Is it the two wire connector that came out of the od unit. It was the only one we didn't know what it did?

Well I got my bell today.
I measured the NV4500 out to be roughly 25.5" and the 47RH to be roughly 26 and 5/8th "
