Cold Starting
I have a 97 CTD 5spd and in the morning when I first start the motor it idles below normal like around 3 or 4 hundred rpm, until I give a little pedal and it warms up a little. Is this normal or should it have a high idle unitl it warms up enough? What do yall think ?

Redrocket;
I'm having the same problem with my 93 I believe it's a bad KSB solenoid, haven't got a chance to trouble shoot it yet.
I'm not sure if the 97 has a KSB solenoid. I'm sure someone here will chime in with more knollege on this subject. ???
I really need to fix it, my remote start dosen't get a tach. reading so the starter stays engauged for 20 sec. till it shuts it's self down. :'(

Re:Cold Starting
No, the inline pump doesn't have a KSB. They do run at a lower speed until they are warm. If it is that noticeable, the warm idle is probably low too. It should be at 800 rpm warm,850 works better in a cold climate, like up here in the north country. You cant see the idle screw, but you can feel it right by the shaft where the linkage goes into the pump.
