bigdaddy:

Yes, Scheid Diesel stocks the chrome parts for the 12 valve engines. I know that because I have them on my engine! You can go to my gallery photos to see how the engine looks.

Their website is: www.scheiddiesel.com

Or you can call them @ 1-800-669-1593 or 1-800-669-1934

bigdaddy:

My truck recently made it into a diesel magazine, specifically, the February 2008 Issue of "Diesel World." They took some pictures of the engine in that article. Try this link:

http://scheiddiesel.com/images/custo....08-Binder.pdf

Also, if you are a Member of DodgeTruckWorld.com, in my signature there I have a photo of the engine under my user name of: John P

I thought I had a photo of the engine in the gallery here, but I guess not.
Sorry about that.............................................. .....

Cummins used to sell chromed valve covers, intake manifold, coolant hard lines, and a few other pieces back a few years ago.... might be worth talking to one of the Cummins locations to see if any still exist in their warehouses....

John, I enjoyed reading that article about your truck a lot. I remember it being mentioned earlier, but I never got around to finding the magazine issue it was in. The attention to detail under the hood just amazes me...

However, isn't your water/meth system in the toolbox in the back, and not onboard air? Or maybe I'm just remembering it wrong...

Sorry to get offtopic!

Dennis:

Thanks for your kind words buddy! I am glad you got to finally read the article. I thought all of our NCDTR #18 Group had seen it by now.

Yes, you are right, my Scheid Water Injection System is in that toolbox in the bed, behind the cab. That was an error/misunderstanding by the magazine. But other than that they did a good job on the article. You have a good memory Dennis!
