cast aluminum??????
My trans fell off the jack while putting her back in put a little dent in my pan but cracked my case its pretty bad crack goes over halfway around and skirts close to my drum, and my drum is weaping now.Should I get her welded or buy a used trans that I found with no core charge and a 3yr unlimited mile warranty?I know I wont get a core back from this sucker.Trans is gonna cost me a 1000,but if I get her welded I dont know if she'll hold.Gonna be putting out(my guess is close to 500hp).My gut says trans cause a grand is cheaper than 1500 for a new tc if my input shaft snaps inside, and of course 1000 for a new trans. Thanks for the help.

My daughter slid off an icy road and hit a rock that put a 4" crack in her tranny.
I cleaned it up really well and used JB Weld on it.
Wasn't leaking a drop 70k miles later when she sold it.
Surprised me.
Even if it's not the way you want to go might be good for a temporary fix.

She fell about 2 1/2- 3 ft its ugly crack goes over 50 % around and lower bolt mount on the pasanger side is cracked to.Worst part is crack goes within an inch of the drum and my drums weaping now think I'm gonna have to go with the used one,and go from there sux.At least it didnt damage my new vb and hope it didnt mess up my new tc.
