Bully Dog AT Temp Gauge Question

How in the world are you supposed to hook a wire to the back of the sending unit. There is no lug or spade or anything that I recognize. It is just like a brass post with a round cap?????

A normal crimp on spade connector will slide right over the end and will work just fine

I don't think so, I tried every size I had...a couple would fit but don't seem like they would stay. I know I am missing obvious, they couldn't have designed this thing to just have a spade loosely pushed onto it.
