Gentlemen,
I have a 1996 motorhome with a 5.9L motor and I noticed exhaust leaking from #5 and 6 exhaust ports like the bolts were loose.
I put a wrench on one and barely twisted it and guess what happened?
Yep- it broke off...Now I have to drill it out and replace the bolt.
So what is the solution for bolts if I replace the stock header(more drilling I suppose)with an ATS 2 piece header?(ATS says it will work on a 12V) Would stainless steel become brittle too?
Any info would be appreciated.

1996 Monaco-5.9L Banks 14mm exhaust housing- stock plate modified and moved forward .040- Pyrometer- 4"x 20" test attenuator installed in place of a muffler with a catalyst in it- boost line plugged.

That's what happens w/cast all the heating & cooling causes it to shrink,the 3-piece has slip joints in it so it can't shrink.

I would get a ats 3 piece or bd or htt exhaust manifold.

Well folks,
The exhaust manifold did indeed shrink about 3/16th of an inch.. I'm buying the 2 piece ATS exhaust manifold(2003+) as my turbo sits to the rear of the engine on this Motorhome. There are a couple of stock manifolds on Ebay- but why buy something that will repeat.
