brake rotor job turns into nightmare, axle seal info help needed
#31
I used that allthread method do do the CAD side seal on mine and the problem I had was I didnt have enough room to sneak in a socket to use for a driver. The seals I got seemed like they needed an awful lot of force to get them to seat so out of desperation I did what the PO did and just RTV'ed the seal in place as best as I could. Its been good since!
Oh yeah, when you replace those wheel hub units, grease the lip so theyre easier to get out next time

thanks you guys , i kinda a old school kind of guy and allways drag my feet working on newer to me stuff. once i learn how it ok. just getting set in my ways i guess. only thing i missed was the post about the having to use a to big of cheater bar and the threads went by by. new shaft on its way. so far only costly error. not bad for a first timer on this rig. still have to drop differential carrier.
