Sorry, I can't help with your question on the pump. Maybe a Ford site. Many engines use a Bosch pump and from what I understand there are a few P series designs, I had what appeared to be a Bosch P series on an old Case 680 backhoe. Good luck with your search.

It is a Bosch A pump. There is a little bit of power to be had behind the little plate on the back. A 10mm socket and a screwdriver are all you need after you get the plate off. Loosen the locknut and a full turn can yield you as much as 50-60hp. Don't get too greedy though as anything more than a turn and a half won't get you anything more without injectors. Also, look and see if on the back of the pump there are two flat head screws (one big one smaller one) with lock nuts. If you like an idle with a lope then leave them alone. But, if you don't then not adjusting the bigger of the two after adjusting the one under the plate will get you an idle with some serious lope. The smaller one is your max rpm limiting screw. That is if the truck A pumps are like the Ag A pumps. Other than that I have no real clue.
