Red face blue smoke....?

is this normal for a deisel? i have a 95 5spd 12v bone stock except for gauges and 4" straight pipe. when i start it even in the summer it initially has some light blue exhaust smoke at idle. it soon clears up and during acceleration exhaust is clear but if im coasting and revving around 2000 rpm under very very light throttle there are clouds of blue smoke pouring out. increase throttle or totally back off and no smoke. that make sense? what could b causing this? bad ring? burning oil? by the way when it completely warmed up the disappears.....

looking to install a 4k gsk soon but dont know if i should if this is a serious issue.......

A little bit of blue smoke is normal when cold. Pouring out, definitely not. Keep track if you are using oil. Could be a bad seal in the turbo, valve seals or piston rings.

Unless you're losing more than a couple quarts of oil between changes don't worry about it.
